For a girl who began her life in the most humble beginnings in Zimbabwe’s rural areas where she lived since she was a toddler. Tyra Chikocho famously known as Madam Boss has transformed her life. Her early career saw her working as a maid, but she quickly morphed into the arts industry, in a career where she mimics her former reality through comedy. This social media favourite is very clear that when she is in character as Dudzai, she is not ashamed of her past, but has found a way to use her past experiences to educate and create awareness about the abuses faced by domestic workers.

The uprising comedy queen has also proven to be a power house in the gospel arena where she has staged shows alongside Shingisai Suluma, Kudzi Nyakudya and many others. Her debut six-track album Sunungura featured artistes such as Ngoni Kambarami and MacDee as well as Kudzi Nyakudya.

At the 2018, Zimbabwe International Women’s Awards (ZIWA) Chikocho, scooped the people’s Choice award beating other nominees from the USA, UK and Zimbabwe.  The Ziwa awards celebrates and recognizes unsung local and internationally-based heroines who are making strides in their respective fields. Immediately after winning Madam Boss shared the good news with her fans on social media. She posted on her Instagram page with a caption:

“Thank you Zimbabwe National Women’s Awards for the  in Digital and Social Media Broadcasting Leadership Excellence. Congratulations to all women who received Awards .God bless you all”

Her successes have also seen her representing big brands such as Netone, OK Zimbabwe and Impala Car Rental.

Her charm and charisma have also put her on demand globally. Recently she has been on trips to Canada, Dubai, Australia and the UK.
